Blog by Mamatha Honnavar Overt Irritation

Sometimes people or situations are not as we want them to be. This can be frustrating and lead to irritation with others and ourselves, especially when we feel things are out of control. When we perceive things as being out of control, it can fuel the fire of irritation and disturb our peace for many days.

In a magnetic field, opposites attract. However, in life, the opposite is true. Here, like attracts like. This means that irritation doesn't attract calmness or peace; it attracts more irritation. People may not even realize how they are caught in this cycle. They may become irritated by getting up, going to work, traffic, neighbors' pets, the maid's work or absence, vehicle issues, or family members. The list of potential irritants can be endless.

One may even forget to breathe in the rut of sorting the never-ending irritating factors.

The beauty is that external irritants won't change if we keep the irritation within. The outer world, whether happy, sad, frustrated, or irritated, reflects our inner world. What we feel inside, we see outside. Instead of trying to fix things in the external world, let's look within and identify what or whom we are irritated with, with the help of Redikall. When we calm ourselves, that calmness also spreads outward. Ready?

Recite these statements (you can intuitively add more statements) and learn to remain calm and amiable:

With Redikall Consciousness, I purify my anger.

With Redikall Consciousness, I purify my irritation.

With Redikall Consciousness I transform & transcend my judgments.

With Redikall Consciousness, I transform & transcend my need for control.

With Redikall Consciousness, I awaken my amiability.

With Redikall Consciousness, I awaken my warmth.
