Freeing addictions

Drugs, alcohol, and smoking are well-known addictions, but a new addition to this list is social media, accessed through various gadgets. However, the reach of addictions doesn’t stop there. It includes behaviors such as binge eating, feelings of loneliness, excessive exercising, an insatiable desire to be around others, and a constant need to perform, give, or contribute.

Anything that is out of balance is considered an imbalance. The same applies to your performance or your need to perform. If giving or performing feels like an obligation rather than a natural act, you may act out of compulsion. This can lead to frustration and a sense of burden, disrupting the flow of giving.

One effective way to alleviate unwanted experiences is to become aware of your role in the bigger picture and to contribute by performing and giving in alignment with that greater plan. You might wonder how to determine the greater plan and whether you align with it. When things flow smoothly and effortlessly, and you have the time, resources, and support you need to give, it’s a sign that you are aligned with the plan. The universe offers various ways to communicate that we are in sync with this plan and are actively participating.
