Equality
Rich - poor; tall - short;
fair - dark; fat - thin;
highly educated - educated but not highly;
boss-employee….
The list of inequalities can continue. The question of equality arises when comparisons are made by others or by oneself. Most of us have been encouraged to compare ourselves to our siblings, cousins, or friends, in terms of appearance, behavior, financial success, job status, etc. These comparisons are often used as a form of motivation.
Yet, like many other things, this kind of motivation with comparison may or may not always work as expected. There will always be someone who rebels instead of getting motivated and may prove their parents' worst fears correct: this kind of motivation can be called Negative motivation. In this universe, like attracts like. Hence the result of negative motivation may also become negative, by demotivating people.
The beauty is that with awareness, we realize there is no "equality."
Each of us on planet Earth has a unique position, opportunities, relationships, financial and social status, body and color, unique way of expression, and unique way of growing.
Focus on your uniqueness. It’s the game changer. You start realizing the unique blessings that are in your life. Focusing on the blessings and brilliance opens doors for many more uniquely blessed opportunities.
In case you have been troubled by the thought of not being equal to others, please recite the Redikall Statements to recognize your uniqueness:
