Optimism - The driving force Blog Post by Mamatha Honnavar
Optimism is the belief that good things will happen. It's a mindset that focuses on possibilities rather than limitations. While it doesn't mean ignoring challenges, optimists approach difficulties with a sense of hope and determination.
Optimism is also knowing that life is a rollercoaster, filled with exhilarating highs and daunting lows; During those challenging times our ability to maintain optimism becomes crucial. Cultivating a positive mindset isn't merely about putting on a happy face; it's a powerful tool that can help us navigate life's storms, build resilience, and unlock our full potential. With optimism, we can explore strategies to help ourselves stay optimistic, overcome obstacles, and create a brighter future.
So, optimism makes us keep going, even if we don’t know where we are heading, what will happen or when this will end.
We don’t always have to consciously feel optimistic in challenging times. It’s enough to recognize the inherent optimism within us. For example, keeping an alarm on your phone shows optimism about waking up the next day. Stocking your fridge with fruits & vegetables reflects optimism about consuming them. Planning a trip months in advance using a search engine like Google shows optimism about enjoying the trip. Even a newborn baby's cry can signify optimism about being fed!
When we Recognize & Acknowledge our Optimism, we add Value to our Faith in our Roleplay as Humans on this Planet Earth.
